AJAX

AJAX at Latrand includes control panels, sensors, actuators and control elements. It is useful to plan the system by role: which device detects an event, which coordinates operation and which performs an action. This allows the individual sensor, hub and accessories to be selected as matching parts.

Different events require different sensors

The families presented include MotionProtect, DoorProtect, GlassProtect, LeaksProtect and LifeQuality. The series name and specific purpose matter when exploring AJAX detectors. DoorProtect is an indoor magnetic sensor for door or window opening. This function differs from motion or glass break detection. Selection starts with the event you want detected, rather than similar device colours or housings.

DoorProtect communicates over Jeweller with an Ajax hub. It does not connect directly to a Wi-Fi router and is not a universal Zigbee sensor. When selecting a control panel , check the specific device's compatibility and configuration required. Integration modules appearing in the range do not alone prove that every external component can be added to every system.

Leak sensor and water shut-off

LeaksProtect is a wireless indoor leak detector that works with a hub. Detecting water and physically shutting it off are separate functions. An automatic shut-off solution is built with a hub, LeaksProtect and a WaterStop actuator. Compatibility, pipe size and system configuration are important to the specific selection. The standalone detector does not replace the actuator, and the combination does not constitute a promise to prevent every possible loss.

Complete device or finishing element

The catalogue also contains sirens, keypads, Relay, Socket and lighting control components. For smart Schuko sockets , distinguish the mechanism from the faceplate and frame. The visible element should not automatically be treated as an independently functioning device. For the fire protection section, separately explore fire detection and alarm systems instead of transferring a sensor's function from another group. Prepare selection by exact models and purposes so both the devices and their accessories required are clear.
