Voice announcement equipment is selected as a system of different components. Start with the role required — control, amplification, microphone console or loudspeaker — and the zone plan.

Distinguish control from amplification

In the Honeywell INTEVIO family, RK-MCU is the main controller. The manufacturer describes audio signal processing and routing, control, system monitoring and integrated amplification. RK-AMP500 has the separate role of an amplifier component. When expanding the system, clarify whether additional amplification, zone control or another component type is needed instead of choosing solely by wattage.

For an existing site, record exact models, regional version and system version. For a new project, prepare zone allocation and requirements for announcement sources. Another regional version's data do not automatically determine the offered product's parameters. Match line voltages and permissible loads to the specific system's documentation.

Choose where announcements will originate

The microphone console in the INTEVIO system presented is for voice announcements, with selection and control buttons. The manufacturer also provides button expansion modules. If the operator needs to select different loudspeaker groups, prepare the desired grouping and check the console version required. The additional microphone, keypad and main controller are specified as separate items.

For loudspeakers, separate the format and mounting location from system compatibility. The category includes designated ceiling, surface-mounted, suspended and horn products. For the 582479 horn loudspeaker, the manufacturer describes a mounting bracket and selectable power taps. Do not transfer these features to every other loudspeaker or every similarly shaped variant.

Compare the components with the design

Before ordering, check the device list, intended lines, chosen speaker power settings and mounting accessories. Clarify control and monitoring requirements with the responsible designer. The same brand or a standard in a title does not establish compatibility of the entire combination. For replacement, include the existing part's reference and models it must work with.
