Olympus

Olympus at Latrand brings together binoculars, voice recorders, photographic equipment and selected accessories. These serve different areas of observation, sound recording and photography. For precise selection, start with the required function, then compare the full model designation and set contents.

How to read binocular designations

The Olympus binoculars include S, RC II, RC II WP, WP II, EXPS I and zoom variants. For the exact 8x40 S, the designation describes 8-times magnification and 40 mm objectives. It is not an adjustment range from 8 to 40 times. Distinguish fixed magnification from zoom models before comparing other characteristics.

8x40 S uses a Porro design and single-coated lenses. For the separate 8x25 WP II family, a compact roof-prism design and 25 mm objective lenses are described. These data distinguish specific constructions; they do not determine identical optical properties for every pair of binoculars in the collection.

WP characteristics do not transfer to every model

8x25 WP II is described as waterproof and fog-proof, with nitrogen filling. This applies to the stated family. Do not use these characteristics to describe 8x40 S or any Olympus binoculars. If conditions of use matter to selection, compare the exact model's own data, including its full suffix, rather than just the general brand.

Audio recording and photographic equipment have their own accessories

The audio products include WS-882/883 voice recorders and separate audio accessories. For TG-7 cameras and the ET-M4518 lens presented, use photographic equipment. Their functions and compatibility are not determined by binocular characteristics. Sharing a collection does not mean every lens or accessory is suitable for every camera.

The LI-92B battery and UC-92 charger are separate items. Check the exact kit for the chosen device before adding accessories or assuming a charger is included. The same applies to caps, straps and audio components. When comparing variants, retain model, full reference and included contents as separate criteria. For a broader optical choice, continue to binoculars and travel accessories, considering durability and construction for each specific product.
