Audio and video door entry systems

An intercom or video intercom is selected for a specific entrance, number of users and communication method. First distinguish a described kit from a separate indoor station, entrance panel or mounting accessory to compare offers with the same scope.

Audio, video and entrance configuration

The range includes audio and video designations, kits and separate entrance panels. Specify the functions required and number of call points according to the design. Check the specific kit's contents and additions required. A display or panel in the photograph does not prove that all parts shown are supplied together.

The system matters more than the general IP designation

For separate components, check the exact models, generation and supported system. Do not assume universal compatibility between devices solely because they are presented as IP intercom products. Check network, power supply and control requirements in the selected configuration's documentation. With similar models, additional letters and suffixes must remain part of the comparison.

For the indoor device, consider controls and required functions; for the entrance panel, purpose, mounting and permissible environment. If an access function or additional module is needed, check explicit support. Do not derive the entire door entry system's capabilities from one element or a general product family name.

Installation and accessories

Compare surface and flush mounting according to the described design, available space and relevant dimensions. For a frame, mounting box or other addition, use intercom system components. Check that the selected accessories are for the exact panel and number of modules. List them separately in the order when they are not expressly included in the kit.

Offers from BTICINO and HIKVISION can be browsed by manufacturer. If the task is only a call without an intercom conversation, compare doorbells; general guidance is in Intercoms and doorbells. Before ordering, check the entrance and indoor devices, power supply, communication and mounting as a linked configuration. When adding to an existing installation, note which parts remain and check new items against them.
