EGO Blast and Stixx PRO have different applications

MAUS distinguishes EGO Blast for larger volumes from Stixx PRO for small enclosed spaces. Electrical cabinets, server racks and machine spaces are listed as applications for the compact Stixx PRO. These are selection areas, rather than confirmation that any cabinet or room is suitable without a specific assessment.

For EGO Blast 100, a protected volume of 10 m³ is stated, and for EGO Blast 150, 15 m³. These manufacturer limits apply to the exact two models. Do not turn them into a promise of extinguishing in every space with the same geometric volume; site conditions and the specific solution must be considered separately.

The number in Stixx PRO denotes a specific version

Stixx PRO 1 is specified for 0,1 m³, V1 for 0,2 m³, PRO 5 for 0,5 m³ and PRO 10 for 1 m³. There is also a functional difference: PRO 1 does not support series connection, while V1, PRO 5 and PRO 10 are designated with this capability. This distinction helps prepare a correct model-specific enquiry without assuming shared capabilities across the entire series.

Stixx PRO is a potassium aerosol type and activates automatically at elevated temperatures. The exact threshold and applicable conditions must be established from the documentation for the selected version. Automatic activation is no basis for assuming that the aerosol is safe to inhale or that a result is guaranteed for every type of fire.

Choose accessories for the system

EGO heat-sensitive cables and Stixx are separate products and should not be confused by external resemblance. Before the final choice, specify the series, device code and matching cable.
