Rechargeable batteries

Choose a rechargeable battery by the device and intended charging method. Distinguish compact battery formats from other rechargeable batteries, then check exact reference, dimensions and electrical requirements.

Different formats and applications

The titles include rechargeable batteries designated VRLA and compact AA and AAA formats. These are different starting points for selection, rather than general compatibility with every device. Record equipment requirements and the existing cell's code if replacing it. Check whether the selected item is intended for the specific application. Do not transfer characteristics between formats solely because their general name is rechargeable battery.

Dimensions, sockets and capacity

Check physical dimensions and connection method to the device. For a compact battery, match exact format and required electrical data. For another rechargeable battery, establish dimensions and terminal type in the model documentation. Compare stated capacity alongside voltage and application conditions. A larger number is insufficient grounds to choose if size, connection or equipment requirements are not coordinated.

Check the charging system

Establish what the specific rechargeable battery requires and what the available charging equipment supports. A general rechargeable designation does not prove compatibility with any charger. If the battery operates in a device with its own charging section, check that device's requirements during replacement. Do not transfer a charging method from another cell type. Compare exact models instead of relying solely on identical shape or a similar capacity designation.

For a set of several cells, check the device's requirements and replacement method in its documentation. Keep the full battery and equipment references together. Do not derive expected runtime from one catalogue value alone without data for the specific application and conditions of use.

Included components and order list

Read whether the item is a single rechargeable battery or a pack of several batteries. For the products shown from HONEYWELL and VARTA , check the individual codes and purposes. If the device requires another battery type, browse batteries instead of treating a rechargeable variant as an automatic replacement. The general batteries and rechargeable batteries section helps allocate devices and required quantities, retaining the requirements for each position.
