Furniture sockets and floor boxes

Furniture sockets and floor boxes address where equipment connections should be accessible. Selection starts with the workstation and cable route, then moves to the housing, sockets and mounting parts required.

Where the connection point will be used

For access on furniture or around a corner, explore Furniture and corner sockets. Compare socket layout with plugs and free space. When connections must be on a work or meeting table, continue to Desktop and conference modules. Check the configuration against users' access from different positions too.

For a floor connection point, there is a separate Floor boxes and columns section. Selection depends on floor construction, available depth and flooring finish. If the task is only passing and organising cables, use Furniture and floor cable outlets without treating them as complete points with power sockets.

Enclosure and electrical configuration are different items

Record which devices need connecting and which connections they require. Then check the chosen listing's exact contents. The housing, cover, support element and installed mechanisms may be separate items. A position count in the title does not confirm what is included or which mechanisms are compatible.

Also examine the rear of the solution: cable space, connections required and supplementary accessories. Measure the area around the furniture or floor outlet with the intended equipment in mind. Prepare the dimensions of the worktop, opening or base for the specific installation instead of comparing only the visible cover and its colour.

Assemble the entire arrangement before ordering

For individual decorative and functional parts, check Frames, faceplates and mechanisms where relevant to the selected system. Keep separate list rows for the housing, mechanisms, cables and fixings. Contents can then be checked against each item's description, including when buying parts from one series. For general context, use Switches, sockets and power strips. The general purpose does not replace checking permissible load, environment of use and exact package contents.
