Auxiliary lighting lamps

For auxiliary automotive lighting, start with the lamp's specific location. Match the old lamp designation, cap and mounting size before comparing versions in this category. For several replacements, label every position separately, including left and right if their data differ. This maintains a clear link between the lamp and its purpose.

The lamp's location determines the search

Clarify which lighting function you are restoring and record the data from the vehicle manual or removed lamp. Do not assume that two similar-looking lamps can be exchanged between different positions. For replacement in the main headlight, continue to headlight bulbs, where you will compare the relevant group. Here, focus on the exact format of the auxiliary light source and how it fits into the holder.

Check the cap and available space

Match the entire cap designation, not just its first letters. For elongated lamps, measure required length too; for other formats, check overall dimensions against the housing. A clear photograph of the old lamp and its contacts helps recognition, but final selection should follow the exact reference and documentation. If the housing restricts access, plan to check removal method before buying.

Compare electrical data separately

Read the chosen item's power supply and wattage designations and match them to the specific position's requirement. Category titles contain different designations, so check each version independently. When switching to a LED version, seek confirmation of its vehicle application, including required installation conditions. The word LED alone does not resolve physical and electrical compatibility.

Complete selection with an exact reference

Prepare a short list: vehicle position, lamp designation, base, size and required power supply. Also check how the pack is described so that you order the required quantity. If seeking several different bulbs for one vehicle, return to automotive bulbs and divide the list by lighting function. To compare the items shown from one manufacturer, you can also browse the OSRAM collection, retaining the same criteria for the specific lamp.
