Plan the cable route as a sequence of paths, mounting assemblies and fixings. Select the groups according to the design, then link each main part to its exact accessories and quantities. Prepare a diagram showing the start, end and branches of the sections. Mark the substrate, available space and access points to guide subsequent selection towards the actual installation conditions.

Allocate the routing method

For a conduit system, start with cable conduits and clarify the format and accessories. When the project calls for trunking, browse cable trunking and accessories, including angles, covers and finishing parts. For trays, continue to cable trays and fixings, where supports and joints are selected together with the main sections. If the route combines several solutions, mark transitions as separate assemblies to check.

Add connection and access locations

In mounting and junction boxes , distinguish the housing for a mechanism from the box for other installation tasks. Check the contents, internal space and cable entries. For intended outdoor underground assemblies, browse garden inspection chambers and clarify whether you are selecting a complete enclosure or an accessory for it. Dimensions, cover and connections are checked for the exact series; the general group name does not determine application conditions.

Fixing and organisation

Allocate fasteners and wall plugs according to the mounting substrate and cable or conduit being secured. For grouping bundles, check cable ties, holders and spiral wraps. Distinguish these accessories from supporting parts of the entire route. Do not infer permissible load from size or appearance. Compare project requirements with documentation for the specific system, including supports and connecting parts required.

Materials and final list

For the insulating and adhesive products planned, use tapes, adhesives and insulating materials. Record each material's purpose and unit separately from route lengths. Finally, review the route from start to finish: main elements, bends, boxes, transitions, fixings and supplementary parts. Check compatibility by series and reference and read package contents. Under different installation conditions, keep sections separate in the list to avoid transferring one product's characteristics to another project section.
