Industrial luminaires

The industrial luminaires here include different fitting types and accessories. Start with the format required and site conditions, then compare the lighting measures and specific version of the selected model.

Choose the type before specific wattage

The names include High Bay, Low Bay, floodlights and linear fittings. These are different product areas, and the category also contains other formats. Compare products with the same role in the task instead of ranking the whole range solely by the power figure in the title.

Accessories include frames and covers for specific families. When adding to a luminaire, retain the fitting's full code and check the part's intended use. A frame or cover in the same section does not prove that it is suitable for every product from the corresponding brand.

Compare lighting characteristics

Lumens describe emitted visible light and watts power consumption. These fields are not interchangeable. Use corresponding data for the exact model without assuming identical wattage means identical luminous flux. Flux itself does not establish illuminance at the specific workplace.

The shade of white light is described by colour temperature in Kelvin. Lower values appear warmer and higher values cooler. CRI is another measure relating to reproduction of the colours of illuminated objects. Consider them separately, checking which data are stated for the exact version.

The environment sets separate requirements

For the relevant housing type, there is a moisture-protected luminaires section. The IP designation concerns ingress protection: the first digit relates to solid objects and dust, and the second to water. It does not confirm resistance to chemicals, UV or mechanical impact.

If the project requires an explosion-proof version, there is a separate category for explosion-proof luminaires. Inclusion in a general “industrial” section does not replace checking the specific purpose and markings. Products with a sensor or other control functions are also compared by their exact version instead of extending their characteristics to the entire series.

For the final list, separate luminaires from accessories and clarify the required versions. The general industrial lighting section allows a return to the individual areas. For comparison by manufacturer, there is also LEDVANCE, with the exact reference remaining the main criterion for each selected product.
