Choose the industrial pair by more than colour
The OPTIMA catalogue distinguishes rated current, poles, voltage and contact clock position. These are separate criteria. Matching colour alone or current alone does not establish that a plug and socket form a compatible pair. Check every designation for the exact products.
The industrial plugs and industrial sockets include different portable, wall-mounted and panel-mounted versions. The mounting format is separate from the electrical coding. Data for one OPTIMA item must not be transferred to another, including when the housings look similar.
Consider the distribution board configuration separately
BLOCK distribution boards are presented with different configurations for industrial sockets and DIN modules. In industrial distribution boards , compare what the exact item includes and what the design requires. An enclosure, equipped board and separate accessory should not be treated as identical purchase contents.
For protection designations, the specific reference and the conditions for which the characteristic is given are decisive. For example, a IP rating of an exact product is not automatically the rating of any open or disconnected assembly. The general name SCAME does not define a single level of protection for every product group.
Ex products and cable glands by exact markings
The collection includes separate explosion-proof products. Their exact marking and application are checked; Ex does not extend to all the brand's boxes, plugs or circuit breakers. Similar appearance does not replace comparison against environmental requirements.
For cable entries, review cable glands, selecting them for the specific solution. Trunking, cable ties and other mounting accessories have separate roles. Retain full codes and characteristics required in the project list to avoid confusing systems, configurations and protection designations in the final comparison.
